Buff & Blue Fund Shares Its Playbook for Success

It’s no secret that financial support helps GW’s 450 student-athletes become champions in the classroom, in the community, and in competition. In fact, our playbook for success lays it out:

When you give to GW’s Buff & Blue Fund, you join an exciting team of student-athletes, coaches, alumni, parents, and friends. With their support and yours, we can’t lose.

Please share our playbook for student-athlete success and make a gift today.

You’ll be supporting champions in the classroom:

“While leaving my hometown of North Shields, England, was a tough decision, I knew that I wanted to attend an American university on the East Coast. GW offers a world-class education and opportunity to compete at the highest level of collegiate athletics.”

“Originally, we were expecting only 12 children with special needs to attend [a Vacation Bible School program in Puerto Penasco, Mexico run by Familia de Dios church]. When we ended up having 35, it was absolutely incredible! I built such strong relationships with these kids. Leaving was very emotional. This trip was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had.”

… and champions in competition:

“My teammates and I are incredibly grateful to have a brand new locker room! Being able to have a place of our own where we can come together has really helped our team chemistry and has added to our competitiveness on the court. We are able to scout and watch film all in the comfort of our own locker room. It’s a place for us to get focused and game ready before matches, and we all believe that it makes a difference in our play.”

Being a student-athlete is a gift that I take pride in every day. The support that my team and I receive from GW Athletics has allowed us to compete to the best of our ability. Winning the EAGL Championship and competing at NCAA Nationals as a freshman were incredible achievements and they make me excited to see what’s in store for my next three years at GW. I know that with the support we receive, we will continue to Raise High!

The Buff & Blue Fund supports champions in the classroom, in the community, and in competition. Give today.
